A federal judge dismissed the complex case involving Tulsa traffic tickets and tribal sovereignty. This means, for now, the city of Tulsa cannot enforce traffic tickets against Native American citizens though traffic tickets can be enforced through tribal court.

Governor Kevin Stitt criticized several tribes for their participation in a legal battle over whether the city of Tulsa could enforce speeding tickets against Native Americans. Cherokee Nation Chief Chuck Hoskin Junior says the Governor showed "blatant hostility toward tribal sovereignty" and is being dishonest about the facts of the case.
